Formed in 1815, Dumbarton Curling Club is one of the oldest curling clubs in Scotland.
The club meets most Wedsday nights at The Waterfront Leisure Centre during the curling season, which runs from the beginning of September through to the end of March.
Membership Policy
We are actively seeking new players to join us either as a full member or even as an occasional substitute.
Membership of the club is open to men and women of all ages, physical ability and curling ability. Newcomers to the sport are particularly welcome.
Any new members will initially play at lead or second, although we actively encourage players to play different positions during the season if warranted, but only if the player feels comfortable playing at third or skip.
The club also has several social evenings throughout the season, to which all of our members are invited. We have 3 such events scheduled during the course of the season, which are:
- Pre-Season Dinner - Normally held 1 or 2 weeks prior to our first club night
- Christmas Dinner - Although we call it our Christmas dinner, it is normally held early in the New Year to ensure as many members as possible are able to attend.
- A.G.M. - Our Annual General Meeting is held in April a few weeks after our last club curling session. The A.G.M. is preceded by a meal and is concluded with our prize-giving to all our competition winners throughout the season
