Welcome to Our Site

"Since we have enjoyed good fellowship on the ice, and are resolved that we will meet and form ourselves in a band of brotherhood and fellowship, and that we will be called Dumbarton Curling Club." - These are the opening words in the minutes of the first meeting held in 1815.

Membership is open to both male and female players of all ages and abilities.

You don't require any expensive equipment, just a pair of training shoes and a jumper, as all other equipment will be provided.

Coaching from our own qualified coach will always be available to our members, particularly for those who are new to curling, and our more experienced players are always willing to provide advice and assistance.

Dumbarton Join Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations

scvo logoDumbarton Curling Club are proud to announce that we are now members of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations is the membership organisation for Scotland's charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises.

Access and participation to SCVO events and training courses on club governance, access to and assistance in applying for grants/funding applications, and community programmes, are among the many benefits SCVO membership.

It is hoped that the partnership with the SCVO, and the club's participation in the Scottish Curling's Accreditation Scheme, will strengthen the club's reputation within the community, and assist with club growth over the next few years.
